I am a professional English translator, and my mother tongue is Spanish. I lived in the USA for seven years. During that time, I graduated from high school and earned a Bachelor of Science at Iowa State University (Ames, IA). Later, I completed an MBA at Tiffin University (Tiffin, OH).

American English translator: experience and working method
Through these agencies, I have translated for some of the world’s largest companies in the automotive, oil, finance, insurance and healthcare sectors. Normally, my output is 6,000 words a day, including three rounds of revision to ensure excellent quality.

Sales manager, Moonlight Flowers, Quito, Ecuador (10/2007 – 01/2014). For example, I was responsible for:
- opening new business relationships with international clients
- oral and written communication in English and Spanish
- recruiting, training and supporting sales managers
- interpreting for clients, farm managers and freight agencies
- inventory management and sales team supervision
- marketing projects to increase sales and profitability
- negotiations with local and international freight forwarders
- sales, customer service and support
General manager, Mobil Bolivariana service station, Quito, Ecuador (12/2003 – 09/2007). Among other things, my duties included:
- general management and staff supervision
- staff training to improve customer service and sales
- monitoring regulatory compliance
- managing insurance contracts
- preparing management reports for the owners
- proposing new financial, marketing and planning strategies using management information systems (MIS)

- support for the bank’s marketing strategy

- preparing and analysing credit lines
